The new Porsche 911 Carrera S is here!

If you’re eyeing a new Porsche 911 but want something between the base Carrera and the high-performance GTS, the new Porsche 911 Carrera S Coupe and Cabriolet could be your perfect fit. This latest model delivers enhancements across the board, making it a standout choice in the lineup.

Positioned neatly between the entry-level Carrera and the hybrid Carrera GTS, the Carrera S boasts more power, a refined design, upgraded brakes, and advanced torque vectoring. It offers a thrilling experience without venturing into the territory of Porsche’s more extreme GT cars.

Under the hood, the 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine powering the rear wheels has been upgraded with new turbochargers and improved charge-air cooling. These changes boost the 992.2 Carrera S to nearly 474 horsepower—an increase of 30 hp over its predecessor—and 390 lb-ft of torque.

This power translates to impressive performance: a 0-62 mph time of just 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 191 mph. These figures were once exclusive to full-blown supercars, but now they’re within reach in this “Medium” sports car.

Visually, the Carrera S adopts design cues from the Turbo model, featuring larger brakes borrowed from the Carrera GTS—408mm front and 380mm rear discs with red calipers. It rolls on 20/21-inch Carrera S wheels and includes a sports exhaust and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+) as standard. This system uses an electronically controlled differential lock on the rear axle to optimize torque distribution.

For those seeking even more stopping power, optional ceramic brakes are available. The PASM sports suspension, which lowers the car by 10mm and features enhanced damper hydraulics, is another upgrade option. Naturally, steering precision has also been improved.

Inside, the cabin is wrapped in leather, exuding luxury. The Coupe offers optional folding rear seats at no extra cost, while the Cabriolet includes rear seats as standard.

If a balanced blend of performance and luxury appeals to you, the new Carrera S starts at £119,800 for the Coupe and £129,800 for the Cabriolet.
